- The System Simulation and Modeling (SSM) team, a part of System Software and Simulation Engineering (S3E) at SATG Intel, is leading Intel’s software-first strategy through the development of early and robust system simulators in a modern cloud computing environment.
- The team focuses on transforming the development and simulation of product firmware and software, delivering an integrated simulation covering functionality, performance, power, and thermal aspects several quarters prior to the silicon release.
- Successful simulation efforts contribute to the creation of leadership products by allowing simulation of architecture and software, ensuring robustness before actual product execution.
- We seek skilled software and systems engineers with a proven track record in software development projects.
- Key skills/traits desired in candidates include:
- Very strong software development and software engineering.
- Analyzing specifications for upcoming IP’s and features, collaborating with Intel software and hardware design engineers to deliver next-generation simulation platforms.
- Exercising judgment to develop solutions, remove obstacles, and redefine approaches.
- Assessing risks and identifying solutions for timely and efficient program goal achievement, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Desired behavioral traits: Strong written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, and effective problem-solving in a cross-geo, cross-functional team.
- Proactive approach in ensuring simulation readiness, quality, and positive customer user experience.
Educational Requirements
- Currently pursuing BE/B Tech or ME/M Tech in Computer Science, Embedded, or Electronics and Communications engineering, or equivalent job experience.
- Demonstrated C coding skills and/or experience.
- Background in modern processor microarchitecture and computer systems architecture.
- Knowledge of the internals of Operating Systems (OS) would be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated vision for continuous validation improvements.
